Reblogging, because honestly everyone should experience The Red Necklace. (The character in this clip is Count Kallivoski.)
Favorite character: Marquis de Villeduval. I mean you can actually hear how much of a complete foppish asshole the guy is and picture him in your mind exactly. That’s how fucking good the voice work is in this audiobook…no bullshit.
If you are looking to buy the audiobook, you have to get the UK version, not the US version (the US version is voiced by someone else).
Tom’s Movie/TV/Theater List for 2013/2014 - UPDATED! AGAIN!
Coriolanus (theater): Coriolanus - Title role in the Shakespeare play. I can’t tell you how giddy this makes your humble narrator. I’d give a kidney to see him play Hamlet, but Coriolanus is the next best thing (your humble narrator is seriously into ancient Rome). Tickets go on sale soon. Yes, I’m buying one. Armageddon, the IRS, and Death itself won’t stop me from going.
From the web site (http://www.donmarwarehouse.com/whats-on/new-season-2013/coriolanus):
There will be an National Theatre Live broadcast of CORIOLANUS on 30 January 2014.
Visit www.ntlive.com for more information.
So even if you can’t see him in-person on stage at least you’ll get to see him live in a local cinema! How fucking cool is that?
Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy (post-production/animated film): James - This looks to be another Disney straight-to-DVD film. Not gunna lie to ya folks, I fucking hate Tinker Bell. The character, the merchandise, the goofy tattoos that people get. Don’t get me wrong, I like Peter Pan…but I liked Tiger Lily and that was it! Regardless, I will sit down, grimace, and watch the entire thing. I regret nothing.
The Book of Love (iF Poems App - Voice Work): Poetry Reading - The iF Poems app is available for iOS only unfortunately, but you can find the poems (read by many talented folk including Tom) on YouTube as well. Well, a new book of poems is coming out and Tom did more voice work for the app. Watch this Twitter account for more info: https://twitter.com/AllieEsiri
The Reel Britain (post-production (?) /documentary): Interviewee - From the makers…
A documentary that explores the relationship between Hollywood and the British film industry while closely examining British national identity in cinema.
Totally stoked about this. Not only is it an interesting subject, but it’s being created by a group of passionate folks who busted their ass to get it funded. So far it looks amazing, here is a Sneak Peek:

Out of Darkness (post-production/short film): From the makers…
An Aid worker’s story is told through nine different voices.
Well, the teaser trailer is out, but there’s no release date! We can only hope this is coming out sooner rather than later. I’ve seen this kind of thing done plenty of times before. A story told through other people’s voices alone (no sets or props, just people talking). I usually see it done live on stage, and from watching the trailer that’s how the film “feels”…like it should be on stage. But I’ll take what I can get!
Muse of Fire (post-production/documentary): From the web site (http://www.shakespearefilm.com/)…
This unique feature documentary follows two actors, Giles Terera and Dan Poole, as they travel the world to find out everything they can about tackling the greatest writer of them all. Together they have directed and produced an inspiring film that aims to demystify and illuminate Shakespeare’s work for everyone: from actors, directors and students of all disciplines, right through to the? man on the street?
So, Shakespeare + Tom. I bet he went on forever on this topic. Which is good because I will definitely be watching it! I seriously hope they cover the rumor/myth that Shakespeare didn’t write all of his work, he was just the front man for Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford. A bit of murky historical rumor that’s always been interesting.
Close Enough (pre-production/movie): Robert Capa - I honestly don’t know anything about Robert Capa, which is cool because it means I get to learn something new. I do hope it’s not just a sappy love story though. I hope it really reflects upon this photographers life, not just who he’s sleeping with. If anything, this is a really quality role for Tom. Leading man role with a great premise and a solid leading lady (Hayley Atwell).
Black Wings Has My Angel (pre-production/movie): Tim Sunblade - Unfortunately this is in pre-production limbo because the the lead actress is/was pregnant. Personally, I don’t think we’ll see this one anytime soon…and that makes me a sad panda.
The Muppets… Again! (filming/movie): Great Escapo - Ok, show of hands. Who wants a Great Escapo plushie when this movie comes out? I cannot wait for this movie to come out. And now a pic of my favorite muppets:

Only Lovers Left Alive (released (in competition) /movie): Adam - FINALLY! We got some movie clips, some stills, a press kit! OMFG *fangirls around the room*. If this doesn’t get picked up for distribution in the US after Cannes I’m gunna cry…seriously, gross sobbing.
At least now we know the film will be seen at Cannes, which means we should hear much more about it after it shows in that festival, hopefully. I also hope it wins some kudos. The more kudos the more likely it’ll pick up distributors I think.
Thor: The Dark World (post-production/movie): Loki - First trailer is out with Iron Man 3 in the theaters! Uncontrollably fucking excited! Yeah, yeah, Loki hair and all that…but I’m more excited at the fact that Loki still seems to be a conniving, devious, little shit. No redemption here! Thank goodness!
London Project (post-production/movie) - This is the new Joanna Hogg movie. Surprising that we haven’t heard of a title for this yet or what it’s even about. Again, totally getting impatient with you indie directors. Throw us a frickin’ bone already!
(I’m sorry it took me so long to write this, but I did write almost everything once and then my laptop turned off because I forgot to put it on charge, and then I had to prepare dinner, and then to eat… Sorry ! And really, really sorry for the mistakes I’m about to make)
So when I came on the net…
This needs to be a comic strip…because that’s how it all played out in my mind, lol.
This is very close to the story of my life, but it’s missing a few gifs:
how it proceeded into the next day..

and how it really ended…

That’s better.

Once again, these quotes are fake. Also, this clip is taken from this effort:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL4tokc5lMQ&feature=youtu.be
That documentary is not about Tom, it’s about British cinema (and the impact American cinema has had on it, among other things).
If you want to make manipulations, fine…but tag it as a manip and at least have the fucking human decency to site the source you manipulated it from. Better yet, don’t do this shit and respect the work of the folks who are busting their ass to put that film together.
A documentary that explores the relationship between Hollywood and the British film industry while closely examining British national identity in cinema.
Shameless promotion is shameless, but hell it IS Tom related :). Lots of folks gave to make this documentary happen and so far it looks amazing.

Tom + Romans = ADSFKJASNDSK!!!
I wasn’t lying to you my brethren. I will see this play live if it’s the last thing I do on this Earth. So ya, I’m buying tickets.
New images from my film ‘Only Loki Left Alive’
OMFG, the Shakespeare photo…I just…OMFG
BRB, DYING.
